The BEE CREATIVE program offers a distinctive artistic experience designed to introduce street art to schools, children’s camps, and community groups in a meaningful way.
Our program focuses on two key areas:
1. Assembly-Style Presentations
In these presentations, we explore topics such as:
• The distinction between graffiti and street art
• The importance of respecting public spaces/anti-vandalism
• The history behind The Haunted Zoo
• A showcase of Jeff’s portfolio, highlighting various artistic mediums
• Behind-the-scenes insights into the life of a professional artist
• The significance of cultivating creative confidence
Throughout the presentation, we encourage active participation from the children, inviting them to ask questions and respond to prompts that spark thoughtful dialogue.
Additionally, we offer an engaging add-on to the program, where we guide the children through a hands-on art activity, inspiring them to express their own creativity and explore new artistic techniques.
2. Mural Design & Installation
A powerful way to help children understand the profound impact of public art is by bringing it directly into their environment, allowing them to experience its positive effects firsthand. Designing and installing a custom mural in their space, while offering children the opportunity to witness the creative process — and even participate in its installation — creates not only lasting memories but also fosters a deep respect for art in the world around them. This experience also serves as a catalyst for many children to develop a stronger belief in their own creative potential.
We specialize in designing murals for both indoor and outdoor spaces. With access to a diverse library of assets, we can craft unique mural designs tailored to fit the theme or space. Additionally, we have the ability to create entirely new ‘characters’ to enhance the design and better align with the environment.
As an exciting add-on to this experience, we invite children to participate in the installation process, allowing them to contribute to the mural in a truly meaningful way. This hands-on involvement includes learning the art of spray painting and filling in sections of the mural, much like coloring in a giant, spray-painted colouring book! This activity has proven to be incredibly popular with children, captivating their attention and igniting their creativity — whether they are already passionate about the arts or not.
